AZJHS, Tucson Jewish History Museum receive Arizona Humanities grants

The Arizona Jewish Historical Society (AZJHS) has received a $600 mini-grant from Arizona Humanities for its spring 2017 Phoenix Jewish Documentary Film Series. The series features films relating to Jewish history or culture and promotes awareness and dialogue about people of diverse cultures and a greater awareness of history in particular through documentary film.

Rabbi to present lecture about Hispanic Sefardi

BJE, JFCS Passover Food Drive is underway

A Passover food drive coordinated by the Bureau of Jewish Education (BJE) in conjunction with Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS) has started, with support from Pardes Jewish Day School, as well as preschools, religious schools, synagogues and Hebrew High of Greater Phoenix.

BJE introduces tour of presidential libraries

Escape the Phoenix-area heat by traveling to California this August with Bureau of Jewish Education educators Andre Ivory and Jay Roth. The BJE has planned a six-day trip for participants to learn about presidential decisions that impacted Israel, Russian Jewry and the American Jewish community. Participants will tour the Nixon and Reagan presidential libraries and enjoy top-notch accommodations and a farewell banquet at a highly rated kosher restaurant in southern California.

Israel lecture scheduled for Sun Lakes
