Several British Jewish groups expressed solidarity with the U.K.’s Muslim community following an attack outside London’s Finsbury Park Mosque Monday, where a van plowed into a crowd of Muslim worshipers as they left prayer services just after midnight.

One man was killed and 10 were wounded in the attack, which British authorities are investigating as a potential terrorist incident.

“We condemn this attack and its attempt to escalate tensions in the U.K. and we stand firmly besides our Muslim brothers and sisters in the aftermath of this attack,” said European Jewish Congress President Dr. Moshe Kantor.

"Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with the victims,” the president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, Jonathan Arkush, said in a statement.

The U.K.'s Jewish Leadership Council and Jewish security organization Community Security Trust (CST) also condemned the attack and issued condolences.

Monday’s incident follows three Islamic terror attacks in the U.K. this year.

In early June, seven people were killed and 50 were injured in London, when Islamic State terrorists drove a van into crowds of pedestrians, before carrying out a stabbing rampage.

The Islamic State also claimed responsibility for the May 22 suicide bombing at the Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena, which killed 22 people and injured 59.

In March, a British convert to Islam rammed into pedestrians on London’s Westminster Bridge, killing four, and then fatally stabbing a policeman.
