Israel’s Security Cabinet approves Turkey reconciliation deal

JERUSALEM — Israel’s Security Cabinet today (June 29) approved the reconciliation agreement with Turkey restoring diplomatic ties after a six-year freeze.

After a discussion of more than four hours, the Security Cabinet voted 7-3 to approve the deal, with Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, Education Minister Naftali Bennett and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked dissenting.
