Special Section - Giving Program brings Torah to the ‘street’

Middle school students at Pardes Jewish Day School recently visited The Simple Farm in North Scottsdale as part of its new monthly “Street Torah” program. 

“We spend time with different organizations in town taking lessons from the Torah to the ‘street,’ enabling the Torah that we learn at Pardes to become relevant and meaningful,” said Rabbi Micah Caplan, Pardes Street Torah coordinator, and a Pardes teacher, in an email. “These opportunities really give our students the opportunity to transform Jewish learning into Jewish living.”
