In our efforts as parents and teachers to bring forth the innate sweetness and joy of a Torah lifestyle, there is surely much room for incentivized performance. A little prize here and there is certainly a healthy thing. However, ultimately our goal must be to cultivate a desire in our children to choose the right thing to do simply because it is right.
