Internalizing a message

Rabbi Mendy Deitsch | Posted: Thursday, June 1, 2017 8:30 pm

How does one determine whether we have infused into our children or students a proper, strong moral and ethical value? How can we see if the lessons that we taught them during their formative years have had the desired impact?

Generally speaking, as long as the child is living at home with their parent, there’s no way of knowing if they truly comprehend and internalize the messages and the lifelong lessons that we’ve given them. It is only once they move out on their own and become somewhat independent that we can truly determine whether they are living up to the values that we have taught them.
