Vayeitzei, Genesis 28:9-32-3

In 1977, the wildly famous band The Eagles debuted these lyrics: “My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim; I had to stop for the night.” They were, of course, referring to the “Hotel California” of the song’s title. Most of us have experienced the heaviness of exhaustion on our eyes, hoping to go to sleep. The song conveys a dreamlike sequence aimed at luring us to the “Hotel” and to go to sleep.
