Reading over the profiles of Sandy Reichsfeld, Susan Levine and Sharona Silverman (see story) as we prepared this issue, we were reminded just how lucky we are to have people who devote significant portions of their lives to serving a community.

All three women who are about to retire have served their organizations for 20 years or more. What’s most striking is that while all of them are justifiably proud of their contributions – Reichsfeld to the JFCS Center for Senior Enrichment, Levine to Hospice of the Valley, and Silverman to the Shalom Center – they all expressed a love for the work they do and the people with whom they worked.
