The spray-painted message was simple. “Go home Jew” was scrawled next to a swastika on the driveway of Adam Stevens’ home in San Tan Valley (see story). The Republican legislative candidate described his rush of emotions at seeing this hateful vandalism: “I went from angry to confused to sad to frustrated and back to sad again.”

Carlos Galindo-Elvira, Arizona regional director of the Anti-Defamation League, issued a statement, saying, “The ADL condemns acts of hateful vandalism using anti-Semitic messaging and symbols. Inclusion of these appalling images degrades our democracy and the process of electing public officials. These acts should not be tolerated. We hope the perpetrator(s) will be caught and punished to the fullest extent of the law.”
