Long-time New York and Scottsdale resident Natalie S. Lang died of complications from lung cancer on September 8th. Natalie had a distinguished, 30-year career as a strategic business consultant, working with Fortune 100 clients on a wide array of organizational development, strategic marketing and planning, branding and cause-related marketing. She began her career with the prominent management consulting fir Booz Allen Hamilton and became the first female partner of the firm.She later served as Senior Vice President at Hill & Knowlton, a global public relations consulting company. Natalie moved to Scottsdale in the late 80’s, serving as Executive Vice President of the Oryx Press, an information and reference publisher serving more than 100,000 customers world-wide. As a business consultant in private practice, she provided strategic planning, marketing and public affairs advice to healthcare, finance, and nonprofit corporations.

A woman with a strong social conscience, and a fiercely loyal friend, Natalie gave generously of her time to several national and community organizations, including the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus, the Jewish Community Foundation, the National Urban League, the International Women’s Forum, Reading is Fundamental, the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) and First Place AZ. An art lover, she was also active in the Contemporary Forum of the Phoenix Art Museum.
