Edward Yale Kalin, 69, of Scottsdale, Arizona and Fort Collins, Colorado, died peacefully surrounded by family. Ed was born in Utica, New York, on March 4, 1948. Ed, as friends knew him, led a vigorous life on the tennis courts. Having coached for years in Fort Collins as a high school tennis coach, he continued to be an instructor in Scottsdale. When not teaching tennis he was a ski instructor in Breckenridge, Colorado. Ed is survived by his caring wife, Madeline, of 48 years; his loving daughter Ivy and son-in-law Larry Lesser; his beloved grandchildren Calyn and Charlie; his brother Neil; brother-in-law Mark and his sister-in-law Barbara. He was preceded in death by his older brother Frank. Ed was loved by many and will be missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers,the family asks for donations to The Honor Health Virginia G Piper Cancer Transplant Institute: In Tribute to Ed Kalin.
