David Lieberman, age 83, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 in Scottsdale, AZ, surrounded by his adoring family. He was a larger-than-life figure who had an infinite zest for life and a generous and open heart and spirit that was apparent to all who met him.

David was the oldest child of Harold and Adele Lieberman and was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up in a beautiful old house on Lake Harriet along with his brother, Steve. and his sister Sandy. David studied history at the University of Minnesota where he met the love of his life, Sara Silverman, a brilliant and dazzling young woman from Chicago. In 1957, David and Sara were married and they went on to raise four children in Minneapolis — Sam, Jonathan, Barbara and Michael.
