Ann Levy

Ann Levy passed May 10, 2018. Ann lived life full-heartedly. A vivacious participant of life, travel, hats, dance, music, Hollywood movies and fashion, she was loved by everyone. Ann wants everyone to celebrate her joyous life.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, on Nov. 20, 1924, Ann was married to Marvin Levy (deceased) and is survived by her children Steve Levy, Marilynn Amor and Julie Levy (Syd); grandchildren Dan Adler (Terri) and Adena Friedman (Daniel); great-grandchildren Joshua and Rebecca Adler and Sammy, Jacob and Noah Friedman; and her sister Dasi Brent (Bob). Son Ken Levy is deceased.

Graveside services were held May 11, 2018, at Beth El Cemetery, Phoenix, with Rabbi Levi Levertov officiating. Donations can be made to Smile on Seniors (Chabad), 2110 E. Lincoln Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85016.

Joseph Isaac Masliah

Joseph Isaac Masliah, 35, of Phoenix, died May 3. Born in Queens, New York, he was a member of Temple Chai.He is survived by his parents, Hillary and Mario Masliah of Scottsdale; his sister, Amanda (Matt) Rockoff of New York City; and his daughter, Alexis Masliah of Scottsdale. Services were held at Mount Sinai Cemetery and were officiated by Rabbi Mari Chernow. Donations can be made to Parents of Addicted Love Ones, 3233 W. Peoria Ave., Suite 211, Phoenix, AZ 85029. Susan Rosenblatt Polson

Susan Rosenblatt Polson, 63, of Phoenix, died May 11. Born in Chicago, she was a teacher. She is survived by her husband, Paul Polson of Phoenix; daughter Alix Polson of Phoenix; and brother Michael Rosenblatt of San Diego. Services were held at Beth Israel Memorial Cemetery and were officiated by Rabbi Bonnie Koppell. Donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley and the National Brain Tumor Society. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary of Arizona.

Charlene Fay Skora

Charlene Fay Skora, 86, died on May 5, 2018, in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her husband Irving Sherman and husband Leonard Skora; her parents Charles and Rose Weller; her siblings Sylvia Beil, Dorothy August, Ray Weller and Rita Lange; her son Randall Sherman, son-in-law Timothy Fentem and stepson Thomas Skora. Charlene is survived by her brother Gilbert (Betty) Weller, her son Craig Sherman, her daughter Lori Fentem, stepson David Skora (Lorrie Woos) and stepdaughter-in-law Margie Skora. Charlene was the proud grandmother of Lee Sherman, Zachary Fentem, Ashlyn Fentem, Stephanie Skora, Sam Skora and Sydney Skora as well as aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Charlene spent most of her life in Chicago and worked in accounting and bookkeeping for many years. She was an avid sports fan and especially loved the White Sox and the Bulls. She was a league bowler for many years and also loved to play mahjong and participate in Seniorcize classes at the Valley of the Sun JCC.

Charlene served as a former president of the Sisterhood at Congregation Ezras Israel in Chicago and president of her Chicago based Hadassah Chapter. She moved to Arizona in 2013 to be with family. Charlene was a kind friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Services were held in Chicago. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Arizona Humane Society, Temple Chai or Hospice of the Valley.
