Nicole Heather Solomon

Nicole Heather Solomon, daughter of Bridget and Craig Solomon of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah on Oct. 20, 2018, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Charlotte and the late Donald Bernstein of Phoenix; and Sid and the late Marcia Solomon of Pompano Beach, Florida.

Nicole attends Explorer Middle School. For her mitzvah project, she raised money to help homeless people have “A New Beginning.” She made care packages for local homeless people containing life’s necessities and food. She wrote letters to dozens of companies for assistance with toiletries, sunscreen, sunglasses and products to help these people feel better about themselves. She included a motivational note along with the care package to let these people know someone out there cares about them. She raised $915 through her GoFundMe page to help create the 140 care packages. Nicole, along with her parents, drove around Phoenix and Tucson to hand out these care packages.

Nicole loves baking, cooking, drawing, painting, music and going to Broadway shows.
