Yaakov Shoshan, son of Rabbi Ariel and Ayala Shoshan, will become a bar mitzvah on Nov. 18 at Ahavas Torah: the Scottsdale Torah Center.

Grandparents are Rabbi Ilan and Miriam Feldman of Atlanta; Michael and Rena Friedman of Skokie, Illinois; and the late Samuel Z. Shoshan. Great-grandparents are Rabbi Emanuel and Estelle Feldman of Jerusalem.

For his mitzvah project, Yaakov will endeavor to live a life of Torah observance and perform all of the commandments of the Torah.

Yaakov attends Torah Day School of Phoenix. His hobbies include sports, travel and learning.
