When the Phoenix Sister Cities Youth Ambassadors hosted their brothers and sisters from Phoenix's nine sister cities, the goal was to cram a year in the life of a typical American teenager into two weeks.

From July 16 to July 27, the students took trips to downtown Phoenix, an Arizona Diamondbacks game, Sedona, the Grand Canyon and Disneyland. They completed community service projects at three St. Vincent de Paul sites, celebrated traditional American holidays, had a Thanksgiving feast, participated in talent shows and even attended a prom.
