Jessie Singer knew there was a good chance she would miss out on the opportunity to go on a Birthright trip to Israel. At the age of 26 during the application process, she was prepared to accept that her final year applying might result in yet another denial.

Thanks to the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center, though, Singer didn't have to worry about that.
