School looks forward to another move

Editor:
As the story headlined "JCC move to Scottsdale site approved" (Jewish News, Nov. 5) reported, the donor of the land for the new Jewish Community Campus at Scottsdale Road and Sweetwater Avenue has set aside five acres for the King David School, which is currently leasing space from Temple Beth Israel at 56th Street and Shea Boulevard. The Board of Directors and Administration of the King David School are delighted with the opportunity that has been presented to us.

We are grateful both for this generosity and for the confidence that that donor has shown in us and our growing school. We look forward to working to make this new and exciting possibility a reality, and to building a permanent home for the King David School as part of a wonderful community campus.

Publication of opinion piece showed courage

Editor:
I would like to thank all the folks involved with publishing the op-ed column by Matthew Brooks and Seth Leibsohn about the Brooklyn Museum of Art exhibit denigrating the Virgin Mary (Jewish News, Oct. 8).

I appreciate your courage to make a public statement regarding this very vulgar display. I wouldn't want the Torah treated this way - nor any unholy way. Thank you from a grateful Catholic.
