People on the moveMarcia Reynolds, president of Covisioning, has been elected president of the International Coach Federation. Reynolds, an author and public speaker with master's degrees in communications and educational technology, will serve a one-year term. She has been on ICF's board of directors for two years.Richard Vullo has joined Omni Management Group Inc., a division of the Omni Group of Companies, as a leasing and sales associate. The Omni Group is a Scottsdale-based commercial real estate and property management company. Greg LaMonica has been hired as hotel manager for the Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley. LaMonica previously served as risk manager and villa manager for the Arizona Biltmore. Arizona Gov. Jane Dee Hull has appointed Eileen Willett, Arthur Anderson and Joseph Heilman as judges of the Maricopa County Superior Court. Willett, who earned her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law, has been a county superior court commissioner in the Juvenile Court. The 38-year-old Republican is married and has a son. Anderson, a partner in the law firm of Snell & Wilmer, earned his law degree from University of Detroit School of Law. Anderson, a 48-year-old Repub- lican and married father of three, practiced in the areas of product liability, intellectual property litigation and proactive litigation management. The 51-year-old Heilman, a Democrat, is a deputy county attorney with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. The married father of two earned his law degree from Arizona State University. Michelle F. Covel has been named director of the National Federation of Independent Business/Arizona, a small-business advocacy group of 8,800 members. Formerly NFIB/Arizona's assistant state director, Covel takes over for Samantha Fearn. Covel earned a political science degree from Arizona State University in 1993. Public relations consultant Brenda Sperduti, a manager of corporate philanthropy, has joined Wells Fargo/Norwest as vice president, community relations. Sperduti will manage the banking firm's charitable grants and donations throughout Arizona. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, she managed community relations for American Express and was public relations consultant for AT&T Arizona. Rachel A. Hernandez has joined Training la Carte as a curriculum consultant. The University of California, Irvine, graduate has a background in computer sales and training and will focus her activities on the sales and marketing areas of the firm. Joseph E. Miller has joined Dominion Pacific Inc. as a field superintendent responsible for the construction of commercial buildings. Dominion Pacific is a Scottsdale-based commercial construction company. Linda M. Iversen of Phoenix has been hired as director of resident relations for Classic Residence, Senior Living by Hyatt and The Plaza Companies. Classic Residence is a resort-style continuing-care retirement community in Scottsdale. Dean Larry E. Penley has been selected the first holder of the Bob Herberger Arizona Heritage Chair in the Arizona State University College of Business. Penley has been dean of the College of Business since 1991. The chair has been funded through a gift from Kax Herberger, sons Gary and Judd, and Gary Herberger's wife, Jeanne. Dr. Donni Fleishaker has opened a new practice and is accepting patients at Pax Pediatrics PLLC, at 4045 E. Bell Road, #111, in Phoenix. An Arizona native, Fleishaker is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma's medical school. She has a special interest in attention-deficit disorder and developmental pediatrics and is the mother of three children: Adam, Natalie and Mark. Dan Gonen has joined RE/MAX Excalibur Realty in Scottsdale. Gonen is an associate broker and a residential real estate consultant. A native of Israel, he moved to Arizona nine years ago. Gonen and wife Bonnie are the parents of 2-year-old Jordan, a student at Gan Yeladim. Patty Briguglio, president of the Scottsdale-based marketing and public relations firm MMI Associates, has been elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Lana E. Hock, an investment associate of Eustice & Hoffman Inc. in Phoenix, has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards to use the CFP certification mark and the marks CFP and Certified Financial Planner in accordance with the board's certification and license renewal requirements. Hock specializes in disability, life and variable annuities. Dr. Brian Serbin, DVM, has begun practicing small-animal medicine at Animals Benefit Clinic of Phoenix. Serbin, formerly of East Maryland Animal Hospital, completed veterinary school at Oklahoma State University in 1995. Serbin grew up in Phoenix and is married to Julie. Jonah Shacknai, president and chief executive officer of Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. and chairman and founder of Noah's Family Foundation, has been elected to the board of directors of the D.T.R. Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization that operates Whispering Hope Ranch, providing animal therapy programs for challenged children and adults. Shacknai also serves on the board of trustees of National Public Radio Foundation and the Delta Society. Micah Wyzlic has joined the Phoenix City Grille as executive chef. Wyzlic is a graduate of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. He received the award for best technique at Food and Wine Magazine's "Tool Jam" culinary competition in New York City and was named one of the Top 10 Student Chefs in the nation. Ashley A. Donde has been appointed regional manager of the Arizona Division of Shade Structures LLC. Donde, who has seven years of experience in design, manufacturing, distribution and installation of shade structures, will be responsible for increasing Shade Structure's regional presence in Arizona and New Mexico. |
