Beth El to offer autumn adult education program

Classes are set to begin for Beth El Congregation's fall adult education classes.

Among the classes being offered is Derekh Torah: The Way of Torah, which will meet from 9:10 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. on Sundays beginning Oct. 10. The class will provide an introduction to Judaism and include Jewish history, theology, the meaning and practice of Jewish living, Shabbat, holidays, life-cycle rituals and the Talmud and other texts. Members and nonmembers may attend.

Other classes to be offered include Affirming Judaism, Understanding Jewish History, Torah Study, Torah Reading, Beginning Hebrew, Jewish Law and Lore and an adult b'nai mitzvah class.
