Discuss Jewish views on death

David Pinkwasser, rabbi emeritus of Temple Emanuel, and Ray Pearlman, owner of Sinai Mortuary, will conduct an adult education seminar from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at the Tri City Jewish Community Center, 1965 E. Hermosa Drive, Tempe.

The workshop will present the Jewish view of death and dying and associated rituals and practices. Topics of discussion will include the concept of an afterlife, last confession, service and mourning traditions, cremation, cemetery burial, shivah (mourning) practices, funeral and visitation etiquette, organ donorship, and the unveiling ceremony.
