Former campers sought for reunion

Editor:
I am trying to locate alumni of the Golden Slipper Camp to help celebrate the camp's 50th anniversary with a special reunion, Sunday, Nov. 28, in Philadephia.

Golden Slipper Camp, located in Bartonsville, Pa. in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, is a consitutent agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.

Former campers, counselors and administrators should call (610) 660-0520, fax (610) 660-1515 or write to Golden Slipper Camp, 301 E. City Ave, suite 300, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 for more information.

Religious laws do not disenfranchise women

Editor:
I would like to make a clarification in the article "Limited Access" (Jewish News, Jan. 15). Ohr Torah is training female advocates to represent women in the religious courts in order to better represent the sometimes sensitive issues that are personal to women. Neither Ohr Torah nor I in any way feel that the religious laws in Israel disenfranchise women.

A higher standard?

Editor:
One would have hoped that one place to avoid all the millennium hype would be in a Jewish publication.
