Restaurant helps special-needs council

Sidney's restaurant, 8260 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale, has selected the Council for Jews with Special Needs as its Charity of Choice for the month of November.

Restaurant operators choose a community program geared to families to benefit from a promotion in which $1 of every entree served on the last Monday of the month goes to the charity. Throughout the month, guests also have an opportunity to add their donations at a special display in the restaurant lobby.

The Council for Jews with Special Needs is a non-profit agency that serves disabled children and their families.

The special-needs council will celebrate its 13th birthday with a b'nai mitzvah party planned for Saturday, Nov. 14 at Monterra at WestWorld. For more information, call 277-4243.
