New congregation plans service

Havurah P'nai Or Phoenix, a Jewish Renewal community, will have a Selichot service at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at a Northeast Phoenix location
The Selichot service will include traditional prayer and ritual drawn from an Albuquerque, N.M., Jewish meditation group and Jewish Renewal leader Rabbi David Wolfe-Blank's "Meta-Siddur."

Creative teachings, Hassidic storytelling and a blend of Hebrew and English liturgy will be included as well.

Havurah P'nai Or Phoenix is an egalitarian, lay-led community that is a member of the Network of Jewish Renewal Communities.
