Mazon High Holidays appeal seeks food, money donations

For the second consecutive year, the Reform, Conservative and Reconstructionist movements, together with Mazon: A Jewish Response to Hunger, are joining in "The Corners of Our Fields," a combined High Holidays appeal that seeks both nonperishable food for local anti-hunger agencies and funds for Mazon.

Last year's effort raised $667,000 and 1 million pounds of food for hungry people.

Mazon requests that people contribute money they would have spent to feed their families on Yom Kippur. Those wishing to contribute may send a check to Mazon, 12401 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 303, Los Angeles, CA 90025.
