Hillel receives furniture gift

A local furniture store has donated $18,000 in new furnishings to the Hillel Jewish Student Center at Arizona State University. Goodmans' Office Furnishings recently gave desks, chairs and modular workstations to the center, located at 1012 S. Mill Ave. in Tempe.

Murray Goodman, CEO of the company, said the donation reflects three generations of his family's involvement with Hillel, beginning with store founders Edward and Anna Goodman.

Rabbi Barton Lee of Hillel said the student organization is grateful for the donation.
