Phoenix chef slated to appear on PBS Jewish cooking showPhoenician Executive Chef James Cohen traveled to New York City this month to film two half-hour segments for the PBS series, "Jewish Cooking in America," hosted by Joan Nathan.Cohen's segments were filmed Dec. 18 and 19, and feature Cohen cooking alongside his mother, Bev Fingold. The duo demonstrate some traditional Jewish recipes that Cohen learned in his mother's kitchen. The segments are scheduled to air in early 1998. The Phoenician's Terrace Dining Room Chef de Cuisine Kevin Gay also traveled to New York City this month to accompany Cohen on guest-chef appearances at the James Beard House. Gay prepared a sampling of his signature Italian dishes, and Cohen prepared a meal of "newish Jewish" cuisine. |
