Jerusalem teacher to speak at Temple Chai

Noam Zion, a renowned teacher at Jerusalem's Hartman Institute, will visit Temple Chai as a scholar-in-residence this weekend and deliver several talks.

Zion will speak on "Cain and Abel: the Plague of Being the First-Born" during services at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21.

During services beginning at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, he will deliver a talk on the Torah portion for the week. His topic will be "The Art of Moral Criticism."

At 1 p.m. that afternoon, he will speak on "Three Creation Stories of Women."

He will join Rabbi William Berk's Torah study group at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, to discuss "The Trials of Young Moses: Exodus 2:11 to Exodus 3."
