Grandparenting resources
In the last few years, several books have been written about intermarriage, offering practical advice and coping strategies. Some are specifically for grandparents, while others devote sections to them.
- "Jewish Parenting: Rabbinic Insights" by Rabbi Judith Z. Abrams and Dr. Steven A. Abrams, published by Jason Aronson Inc., 1994. Rabbi Abrams is rabbi of Congregation Beth El in Missouri City, Texas. This 288-page paperback, written with her husband, has sections on grandparenting.
- "Mingled Roots: A Guide for Jewish Grandparents of Interfaith Grandchildren" by Sunie Levin, published by B'nai B'rith Women, 1991. The 84-page paperback takes a practical approach, with a helpful bibliography for further reading by grandparents and children. Call Washington, D.C.-based BBW at (202) 857-1300.

An entire chapter is devoted to grandparenting.
