Adam Clark Fuchs, son of Lori and David Fuchs of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah June 4, 2005, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Celia Fuchs of Rye Brook, N.Y.; Karen Clark of Phoenix; the late Adolf Fuchs; and the late John Clark.

Great-grandparents are Marion Grossell of Grand Rapids, Minn.; the late William Figguns; and the late Gertrude and Marcus Kopple.

Adam attends Mountain Sky Junior High School. His hobbies include instruments, politics, sports and reading.

For his mitzvah project, Adam volunteered for the Democratic National Headquarters and delivered turkey meals for temple Thanksgiving-meal projects.



Scott Matthew Krakoff, son of Linda and Herb Krakoff of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah June 4, 2005, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Belle Merkin of Scottsdale; Rita Krakoff of Scottsdale; the late Solomon Merkin; and the late Stan Krakoff.

Scott attends Copper Ridge Middle School. His hobbies include computers, Nintendo and skateboarding.

For his mitzvah project, Scott collected items for the pediatric unit of Scottsdale Healthcare Shea.



Alisha Sadie Meschkow, daughter of Susan and Jordan Meschkow of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah June 4, 2005, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Elsie Scher of Scottsdale; Florence and George Silverman of Scottsdale; the late Samuel Scher; and the late Gerald Meschkow.

Alisha attends Desert Shadows Middle School. Her hobbies include guitar, music and softball.

For her mitzvah project, Alisa assembled and delivered Passover food baskets to Jewish families in need and volunteered for Pets on Wheels.



Carly Jill Weiner, daughter of Kathy and Allen Weiner of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah June 4, 2005, at Har Zion Congregation.

Carly attends Mountain Trails Middle School. Her hobbies include reading, basketball and music.

For her mitzvah project, Carly sold bracelets for and donated money to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.



Emma Elizabeth Cook, daughter of Sherry and Lawrence Cook of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah June 4, 2005, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Jean Cook of Philadelphia; the late Fran Cook; and the late Ruth and Samuel Brown.

Great-grandparents are the late Mary and Joseph Cohen.

Emma attends Copper Ridge Middle School. Her hobbies include piano, art and rock climbing.

For her mitzvah project, Emma wrote to sick and elderly people and donated clothing.



Adam Hillel Sherman, son of Hope and Craig Sherman of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah June 4, 2005, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Karen and Marvin Kider of Wantagh, N.Y.; and Joan and Beryl Sherman of Lancaster, Pa.

Great-grandparents are Sarah Kider of Queens, N.Y.; the late Harry Kider; the late Elsie and Abraham Shapiro; the late Helen and Lee Weinstein of Harrisburg, Pa.; and the late Dora and Harry Sherman of Lancaster, Pa.

Adam attends Mountainside Middle School. His hobbies include sports, playing saxophone and piano, reading and drawing.

For his mitzvah project, Adam organized a video drive for children at Scottsdale Healthcare and donated school supplies.
