B'nai Mitzvah
Kari Jordan Broder, daughter of Barbara and David Mendelson of Scottsdale, and Joel Broder of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah May 7, 2005, at Temple Solel.
Grandparents are Dorothy Curhan of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; Frances and Herman Broder of Boca Raton, Fla.; Judy and Irving Mendelson of West Bloomfield, Mich.; and the late David Curhan.
Jillian attends Mountainside Middle School. Her hobbies include softball, track, reading and playing viola and guitar.
For her mitzvah project Kari participated in a 13 Mitzvot program, and donated her hair to Locks of Love.
David Galen Doughman, son of Joanne Spiess of Phoenix and Jan Doughman of Kansas City, Mo., will become a bar mitzvah May 7, 2005, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Judith Spiess of Yonkers, N.Y.; Miriam Neal of Crown City, Ohio; the late Willy Spiess; and the late Charles Doughman.
Great-grandparents are Joseph Eisenstein of New York City; and the late Libby Eisenstein.
David attends Madison Meadows Middle School. His hobbies include playing the piano, aggressive inline skating, surfing and backpacking with the Boy Scouts of America.
For his mitzvah project, David volunteered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for several months and helped out in their office.
Ryan Scott Tancos, son of Jacqueline Tancos of Scottsdale and the late Stephen Tancos, will become a bar mitzvah May 7, 2005, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Fran and Barney Wolfson of Phoenix; Geri Tancos of Scottsdale; and Robert Tancos of Argyle, Texas.
Great-grandparents are Elizabeth Tancos of Denton, Texas; and Betty Zalefel.
Ryan attends Madison Meadows Middle School. His hobbies include karate and playing guitar.
For his mitzvah project, Ryan organized a raffle fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, sold memorial/survivor candles and participated in the walk.
Mariah Sarah Weisel, daughter of Celleste and Stephen Weisel of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah May 7, 2005, at Temple Chai.

Great-grandparents are the late Susie Benson and Louis Benson; and the late Lillian and Barney Dunlap.
Mariah attends Explorer Middle School. Her hobbies include swimming, drawing, and jewelry and clothing design.
For her mitzvah project, Mariah read to orphans at Andre House and packed and sorted food at St. Mary's Food Bank.
Mollie Rachel Adatto, daughter of Sue and David Adatto of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah May 7, 2005, at Har Zion Congregation.
Grandparents are Bobbie and Alan Marcus of New York City; Estelle and Morris Adatto of Boca Raton, Fla.; and the late Carole Marcus.
Mollie attends The King David School. Her hobbies include lacrosse, waterskiing and piano.
For her mitzvah project, Mollie collected Judaica for Jewish children in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Moldova.
Chloe Rina Jardine-Cutler, daughter of Jan Wallace of Paradise Valley and Jeffrey Cutler of Ottawa, Canada, will celebrate her bat mitzvah May 7, 2005, at Temple Solel.
Grandparents are Violet and Irwin Cutler of Ottawa, Canada; the late Margaret Jardine; and the late Maurice Jardine.
Chloe is a student at Mohave Middle School. Her hobbies include watching movies and reading.
For her mitzvah project, Chloe made donations to The Shoah Foundation and GLAAD.
Logan Ryan Bilby, son of Cindi Stoneman of Scottsdale and Ray Bilby of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah May 7, 2005, at Temple Beth Israel.

Logan attends Cocopah Middle School. His hobbies include basketball and community service projects.
