Lawrence Marcus, a financial adviser with the Scottsdale area office of American Express, a national financial planning and services company, has been appointed a member of the company's Advanced Advisor Group Senior Financial Advisors. The members, selected based on their experience as successful financial consultants, recognized professional designations and superior financial planning, have access to advanced planning tools.

Manhattan resident Seth Moskowitz was named executive director of the American Friends of The Israel Democracy Institute on April 4. The institute is a New York-based nonprofit organization that supports the work of the Israel Democracy Institute in Jerusalem. Moskowitz previously served as executive vice president of the American Associates Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and chief development officer of the Jewish National Fund.

Jan Hazelton has been named director of Orchard Medical Consulting, a Phoenix-based company providing healthcare case management. Hazelton will supervise a case management staff of seven individuals, in addition to providing account management and operations for her division in Arizona.
