Obituaries

Rose Greenberg

Rose Greenberg of Phoenix died March 29, 2005. She was 86. She was born in New York and moved to Arizona from Florida in 2002. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Hadassah.

Survivors include her daughter, Arlene Goldberg of Scottsdale; son, Barry of Duxbury, Mass.; sister, Marilyn Mandel of Thornhill, Ontario, Canada; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were held in Florida. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.

Dorothy E. Taxman

Dorothy E. Taxman of Scottsdale died April 1, 2005. She was 94. She was born in New Orleans and moved to Arizona from Colorado in 1953. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Order of the True Sisters. She was a member of Temple Beth Israel.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Rose of Scottsdale; son, Richard of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Beth Israel Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.

Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix 85014.



Esther Prival

Esther Prival of Phoenix, 88, died on March 12, 2005. She was born in Chicago where she lived until 1996. In World War II, Esther served in the WAC. She was a volunteer at the King David School and at Kivel, where she resided.

Esther was the wife of the late Sidney Prival and the mother of the late Lynne Prival. She was the dear sister of the late Max (Mildred) Mostow, and the late Tillie (John) Holt.

Survivors include her sister, Bessie (Bill) Fishman of Phoenix; nieces Marnee (Paul) Solon of Scottsdale, Fera Mostow of Sylmar, CA, and Sally Holt of Tallahassee, FL; nephew, Dennis (Sharon) Randall of Alamo, CA; grandnieces and grandnephews Lee (Jeff) Ratterman, Joy (Adam) Weber, David, Sarah, Benjamin and Michael Randall; and greatgrandnephews Jack and Charles Ratterman.

A memorial service was held at Kivel on April 1. Interment was private at the National Cemetery in Phoenix.
