B'nai Mitzvah
Emily Dow Boyd, daughter of Leslee and Brian Boyd of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah April 2, 2005, at Temple Solel.
Grandparents are Barbara and Lee Saperstein of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; Nancy Boyd of Cumberland, R.I.; and the late Norman Boyd.
Emily attends Pardes Jewish Day School. Her hobbies include rock climbing, surfing and photography.
For her mitzvah project, Emily volunteered weekly with HALO Animal Rescue and conducted two projects for the Children's Cancer Center.
Melissa Brooke Ziegler, daughter of Jeanette and David Ziegler of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah April 2, 2005, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Linda and Alvin Ziegler of Surprise; and Natalie and Martin Morrison of San Diego, Calif.
Great-grandparents are the late Sylvia and Maurice Morrison; the late Goldi and Eli Witt; the late Marion and Max Meyer; and the late Sara and Sam Zeigler.
Melissa attends Explorer Middle School. Her hobbies are volleyball, skiing and computers.
For her mitzvah project, Melissa is donating paper supplies and toiletries to UMOM New Day Center's homeless shelter and helping in its childcare center.
Brooke Ashley Kootman, daughter of Jettie and Rick Kootman of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah April 2, 2005, at Temple Beth Israel.
Grandparents are Sandy and Jerry Kootman of St. Louis; Jean Loeb of Scottsdale; and the late Roland Loeb.
Brooke attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies are math and dancing.
Robert Isaac Edgar, son of Julie and Cary Edgar of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah April 2, 2005, at Temple Kol Ami.
Grandparents are Barbara and Sheldon Weisberg of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; and Myrna and Richard Edgar of Birmingham, Mich.
Robert attends Pardes Jewish Day School. His hobbies are computers, music and snowboarding.
For his mitzvah project, Robert collected money and supplies for the Friends of the Israeli Defense Forces.
Jennifer Rachel Rusk, daughter of Lori and Dennis Rusk of Tempe, will become a bat mitzvah April 2, 2005, at Temple Emanuel of Tempe.
Grandparents are Helene and Dale Rusk of Sun Lakes; Charles Licht of Homewood, Ill.; and the late Dolores Licht.
Jennifer attends Kyrene Middle School. Her hobby is music.
For her mitzvah project, Jennifer donated her time to a variety of local organizations as a member of the National Charity League.
