Jaime Alexandra Meline, daughter of Lisa and Daniel H. Meline of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah March 12, 2005, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Sheila and Alan Silberman of San Diego, Calif.; Audrey and Samuel Meline of Hollywood, Fla.; and Carmey and Charles Brinkman of Plano, Texas.

Great-grandparent is Lillian Belson of Hollywood, Fla.

Jaime attends Mountainside Middle School. Her hobbies are dance and babysitting.

For her mitzvah project, Jaime worked with McKenzie Monks Foundation, a local organization that donates suitcases filled with toys to young Arizona cancer patients.



Calvin Max Lieberman, son of Becky and Dan Lieberman of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah March 12, 2005, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Evie and Larry Lieberman of Phoenix; Stanna Miller of Phoenix; and Frank Bowman of Mesa.

Great-grandparents are Mary and Frank Bowman of Tempe; and the late Pearl and Calvin Lieberman.

Calvin attends Pardes Jewish Day School. His hobbies are surfing and paintball.

For his mitzvah project, Calvin donated a portion of his bar mitzvah budget to the Phoenix Family Museum. He also organized a neighborhood lemonade stand to benefit tsunami victims and volunteered at Granada Grove Senior Care Home.



Chelsa Lei Isaacson, daughter of Kim and Mark Isaacson of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah March 12, 2005, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Rosaline Isaacson of Scottsdale; Lois and Robert Shaw of Gilbert; and the late Edward Isaacson.

Chelsa attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies are dance and volleyball.

For her mitzvah project, Chelsa volunteered at the Watkins Overflow Shelter with her youth group and provided dinner for families at the Ronald McDonald House.



Zachary Ryan Oremland, son of Cari and Howard Oremland of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah March 12, 2005, at Har Zion Congregation.

Grandparents are Marilyn and Alan Oremland of Staten Island, N.Y.; and Esther and Martin Drucker of East Brunswick, N.J.

Zachary attends Copper Ridge Middle School. His hobbies include basketball, tennis and baseball.



Kiely Jordan Patent, daughter of Bobbi and Philip Patent of Surprise, will become a bat mitzvah March 12, 2005, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Mabel Patent of Surprise; Robert Justice of Tacoma, Wash.; the late Joseph Patent; and the late Artha Justice.

Kiely attends Marley Park Elementary School. Her hobbies are soccer, softball and cheerleading.

For her mitzvah project, Kiely went to a food bank to package food for the needy.



Jessica Mara Turnansky, daughter of Susan and Stuart Turnansky of Scottsdale, became a bat mitzvah Feb. 12, 2005, at Chabad of Phoenix.

Grandparents are Doris and Arthur Freedman of Phoenix; Fran Gutkin of Phoenix; and the late Morris Turnansky.

Jessica attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies are soccer and tennis.

For her mitzvah project, Jessica visited Kivel Campus of Care.



Rachel Kay Stein, daughter of Maria and Henry Stein of Tempe, will become a bat mitzvah March 12, 2005, at Temple Emanuel of Tempe.

Grandparents are Goldie and Samuel Stein of Tempe; Paul Peranio of Phoenix; and the late Katherine Peranio.

Rachel attends Tempe Preparatory Academy. Her hobbies are soccer and school activities.

For her mitzvah project, Rachel volunteered at a senior citizen center in Phoenix.
