Coffeehouse becomes kosher

The Market Street Coffee Company, located at 539 E. Glendale Ave., Phoenix, is now under the supervision of the Greater Phoenix Vaad Hakashruth.

According to Rabbi Michael Dubitsky of the Vaad, the coffeehouse chose to go kosher due to requests from the community.

"I know how difficult it can be, especially for the kosher community, to find a place they feel comfortable," said Shari Eres Lev, area manager. "It feels good to provide space for the community."

The coffee company is in the process of changing its closing hours to better suit the community. Current hours are 6 a.m.-8 p.m., seven days a week.
