Jewish soldiers are role models

Editor:
The parents and family of Isaac Greenberg ("Becoming a Jewish soldier," Jewish News, Feb. 4) should be extremely proud of their son. Not only has he chosen a path in the military but his Jewish education and values have provided the groundwork for this decision.

It is such a pleasure to read that a Jewish war hero, Col. Jack Jacobs, is someone that he admires and respects. Having a role model that can touch your life in such a positive and rich way is terrific. In today's world, many young adults and children could greatly benefit from having more role models like Col.Jacobs and Cadet Isaac Greenberg.
