Brett Daniel Berkley, son of Heidi and Jeffrey Berkley of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 12, 2005, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Lillian Price of Cleveland; the late William Price; and the late Elayne and Sanford Berkley.

Brett attends Copper Ridge Middle School. His hobbies include baseball and skiing.

For his mitzvah project, Brett worked with "Bicycles for Kids," a group that gives bikes and food to poor families for the holidays.



Hannah Eisenberg, daughter of Roxann Waintroob of Mesa and Alan Eisenberg of Tempe, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 12, 2005, at Temple Emanuel of Tempe.

Grandparents are Natalie and David Eisenberg of Tucson; Christine and Fred Frye of Tucson; Nina Crandall of Tucson; and Victoria Lynn of Woodland, Calif.

Hannah attends Rhodes Junior High. Her hobbies include music, traveling and movies.

For her mitzvah project, Hannah is collecting donations for The Bay Area Crisis Nursery.



Joseph Louis Feldman, son of Irene and David Feldman of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Feb. 12, 2005, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Anna Silver of Phoenix; the late Joseph Silver; and the late Juliet and Louis Feldman.

Great-grandparents are the late Lena and Isaac Erlichman.

Joseph attends Desert Shadows Middle School. His hobbies include soccer, basketball and other sports.

For his mitzvah project, Joseph worked at the Watkins Emergency Overflow Shelter. He helped prepare platters, serve food and clean up on Christmas Day.



Ariel S. Rosenthal, daughter of Robyn and Jonathan Rosenthal of Cave Creek, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 12, 2005, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Jeannie and Howard Levine of Cave Creek; and Judy and Myron Rosenthal of Phoenix.

Great-grandparents are the late Anita Sidman; the late Sophie and Samuel Levine; the late Dorothy and Archie Kroloff; and the late Brondell and Samuel Rosenthal.

Ariel attends Desert Arroyo Middle School. Her hobbies include swimming, movies and taking care of animals.

For her mitzvah project, Ariel donated 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love.



Samita Ashley Siegel, daughter of Nancy and Alan Siegel of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 12, 2005, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Lila and Sidney Siegel of Scottsdale; and Betty and Don Freese of New Middletown, Ohio.

Samita attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies include volleyball and movies.

For her mitzvah project, Samita donated a backpack and school supplies to underprivileged children. She also donated a baby swing to a new single mom, as well as adopted a family over the holidays and collected canned goods and dry food for area shelters.



Chloe Noelle Salk, daughter of Cynthia and Elliot Salk of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 12, 2005, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Al Weinstein of Scottsdale; Connie and Phil Salk of Chesterfield, Mich.; Georgia Gilbert of Scottsdale; the late Bernice Weinstein; and the late Stan Reed.

Great-grandparents are Mildred and Charles Loreall of Scottsdale.

Chloe attends Sunrise Middle School. Her hobbies include drawing, painting and singing.

For her mitzvah project, Chloe entertained seniors at a senior center, delivered packages to homebound elderly, and collected diapers and paper products for the East Valley Child Crisis Center.



Brittany Anne Steinberg, daughter of Wendy and Todd Steinberg of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 12, 2005, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Cecelia and Milton Greenberg of Boca Raton, Fla.; and Susan and Jodney Steinberg of Del Ray, Fla.

Great-grandparents are Laura Brawer of Westin, Fla., and the late David Brawer.

Brittany attends Pardes Jewish Day School. Her hobbies include swimming, tennis, acting and dance.

For her mitzvah project, Brittany adopted a family for the holidays. She also collected money for the Chrysalis Shelter and made donation baskets for tsunami victims.



Rebecca Sasha Wax, daughter of Janet Reiser and Paul Wax of Paradise Valley, will become a bat mitzvah Feb. 12, 2005, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Inez Reiser of New York; Edith and Sandor Wax of Lenox, Mass.; and the late Albert Reiser.

Great-grandparent is Edith Shapiro of New York.

Rebecca attends Cocopah Middle School. Her hobbies include track, cross-country and art.

For her mitzvah project, Rebecca helped decorate Phoenix Children's Hospital for the holidays. She also worked at St. Mary's Food Bank.
