Obituaries

Sherman Ralph Dennis

Sherman Ralph Dennis died Jan. 28, 2005. He was 78. He was born in Duluth, Minn., and moved to Arizona from California in 1993. He was a retired building contractor. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey; daughters, Andrea Sherwin of Westlake Village, Calif., and Cathy Steyaert of Minnetonka, Minn.; sons, Craig, Richard and Francis, all of Phoenix; sister, Miriam Ackermann of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Services were held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.

Harvey H. Wine

Harvey H. Wine of Scottsdale died Jan. 29, 2005. He was 83. He was born in Omaha, Neb., and moved to Arizona in 1979. He was a retired automotive auction manager. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. He was a member of Temple Chai. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and the Shriners.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline; daughter, Karen Johnson of Scottsdale; son, Loren of Phoenix; sister, Bert Lewis of Scottsdale; and three grandchildren.

Services were held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, with Rabbi Peter S. Levi officiating. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.
