Thanks for the good words

Editor:
As a longtime board member of the East Valley Jewish Community Center and currently treasurer and capital campaign committee member, I sincerely appreciate your article regarding the EVJCC ("East Valley transitions," Jewish News, Jan. 28).

The word needs to keep coming out that there is a vibrant Jewish community in the Southeast Valley that is seeking an identity. The new EVJCC facility is going to go a long way in achieving that identity.

Looking for rightful owner

Editor:
We recently purchased a home in Sun Lakes and during remodeling happened upon a service cap.

The cap is black with gold trim, with "Past Commander - Tri-Cities Post 210" embroidered on the left side and the initials "J.W.V." embroidered toward the front left bottom. There are two gold shields affixed to the hat. One says "Past Commander" and the other says "40 Years."

The house was owned by George Doscher, but we do not know if the cap was his. Is there someone this may belong to who would like to have it back? Or would the J.W.V as an organization like to have it for a memento or display?
