Jeffrey William Berger, son of Iris and David Berger of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 15, 2005, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Edna and Melvin Stein of Phoenix; Marilyn Berger of Phoenix; and the late Irvin Berger.

Jeffrey attends Desert Shadows Middle School. His hobbies include ice hockey, wrestling and playing poker.

For his mitzvah project, Jeffrey participated in the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix's Mitzvah Day, making peanut butter and fluff sandwiches at Beth El Congregation and delivering them to St. Vincent De Paul.



Darci Blair Honeyman, daughter of Beth and Seth Honeyman of Chandler, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 15, 2005, at Temple Emanuel of Tempe.

Darci attends Pueblo Middle School. Her hobbies are soccer and dance.

For her mitzvah project, Darci volunteered at Temple Emanuel's Chavarim Tovim summer camp.



Ariel Samantha Fisher, daughter of Elizabeth Fisher of Peoria and Richard Fisher of Glendale, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 15, 2005, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Layla Fisher of Toronto, Canada; Donna and Roger Krebsbach of Alma, Wis.; and the late Jack Fisher.

Ariel attends Hillcrest Middle School. Her hobbies include art, figure skating, basketball and barrel racing.

For her mitzvah project, Ariel volunteered with the Humane Society's injured animal rescue.



Hilary Elizabeth Keith, daughter of Elizabeth and M. Gordon Keith of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 15, 2005, at Temple Chai.

Grandparents are Esther Capin of Tucson; Alison and Maxwell Keith of Atascadero, Calif.; and the late Richard Capin.

Hilary attends Explorer Middle School. Her hobbies include cooking, art, choir and youth group.

For her mitzvah project, Hilary volunteered at the Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue and at the Watkins Overflow Emergency Shelter.



Melissa Jamie Medwin, daughter of Marla and Jon Medwin of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Jan. 15, 2005, at Har Zion Congregation.

Grandparents are Phyllis and Bob Weinstein of Scottsdale; Milton Medwin of Phoenix; and the late Shirlie Medwin.

Melissa attends Vista Verde Middle School. Her hobbies are cooking and Jr. USY.

For her mitzvah project, Melissa collected books, toys and clothes for an abused children's shelter.



Jason Aaron Nevins, son of Elayne and Steven Nevins of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Jan. 15, 2005, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Sheila Halpern of Phoenix; Lewis Nevins of Scottsdale; the late Steven Halpern; and the late Barbara Nevins.

Jason attends Desert Shadows Middle School. His hobbies include basketball, football and playing poker.

Grandparents are Anne and Edward Honiberg of West Hartford, Conn.; and the late Charlotte and Al Tamsky.

Jeffrey attends the Howard Gray Education Center. His hobbies include karate, soccer and computer games.

For his mitzvah project, Jeffrey volunteered at the Chai CafÇ, did a VNSA drop box collection and sponsored a Thai orphan.
