Elliot Rabinovich & Rachel Richter

Rachel Richter and Elliot Rabinovich of Scottsdale announce their engagement.

Parents of the couple are Francine Richter of Phoenix; Hannah Farbiarz of Dallas; Simon Rabinovich of Hadara, Israel; and the late Michael Richter.

The bride-to-be received her bachelor's degree in sociology from Brandeis University. She received her master's degree in social work and a certificate in Jewish communal work at the University of Pennsylvania. She is the director of development for the Arizona region of the Anti-Defamation League.

The groom-to-be received his bachelor's degree from the School of Engineering of Antioquia. He received his master's and doctoral degrees in business from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He is an assistant professor at the Arizona State University W. P. Carey School of Business.

A January 2006 wedding is planned at Har Zion Congregation in Scottsdale.
