Sarah Tobin of West Hills, Calif., and Chad Rosen of Scottsdale announce their engagement.

Parents of the couple are Terry and Larry Tobin of West Hills, Calif.; and Cori and Vic Rosen of Scottsdale.

The bride-to-be is studying civil engineering at University of California-Los Angeles. The groom-to-be is studying Hebrew at University of California-Los Angeles.

A summer 2005 wedding is planned in West Hills, Calif.

Parents of the couple are Carol and Ray Powell of Sylvania, Ohio; Marian Talmon of Glendale; and Chaim Talmon of Phoenix.

The bride-to-be received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Sweet Briar College. She is the cattery manager at Arizona Animal Welfare League.

The groom-to-be received his bachelor's degree in anthropology from Brandies University. He is an implementation specialist with ADP.

An Oct. 16, 2005, wedding is planned in Las Vegas.

Parents of the couple are Barbara and Jack Koopen of Modesto, Calif.; and Barbara and Leonard Krich of Scottsdale.

The bride-to-be received her bachelor's degree in cellular biology from the University of California-Davis. She received her Ph.D. from the University of California-Los Angeles School of Medicine. She is a musculoskeletal radiology fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

The groom-to-be received his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California-Santa Barbara. He received his law degree from the Southwestern School of Law. He is an attorney at Manning & Marder, Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez LLP, in Los Angeles.

A Sept. 4, 2005, wedding is planned at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina Del Ray, Calif.
