People on the moveThe Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix has installed its board for 2004-05. Lanny Lahr was chosen as a second-term president of the board. The new vice presidents are Ron Barness, Steve Hilton, Irwin Kanefsky, Steven Schwarz and Ann Zinman. Mark Schwartz is secretary, Joel Kramer is treasurer and Nancy Hollenberg is women's department president.The Sun Lakes Shalom Chapter of Hadassah welcomed new members to its Chai Society. New Members are Florence Klitsner, Sylvia Krone, Janis Newman, Joyce Greenberg, Elaine Plotkin, Adele Karp and Shirlee Katzman. Chai Society members commit to an elevated level of annual giving to support Hadassah's projects in healing, teaching and advocacy worldwide. Two new co-chairmen have been named to Arizona's Regional Board of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science. Murray Goldberg of Scottsdale and Sheldon Roth of Payson will take over for Irene Rosenblum of Paradise Valley in January 2005. ART Architects has been awarded the new design contract for Camelback High School. The new construction will modernize the school and expand classrooms to accommodate 2,400 students. Projected completion date is summer 2007. BizAZ magazine honored 10 "Hot Growth Companies" Nov. 10 at an awards reception at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The 10 companies are DriveTime of Phoenix; Ensynch of Tempe; Fox Restaurant Concepts of Scottsdale; Hacienda Builders of Scottsdale; Madden Preprint Publishing of Tucson; Medicis of Scottsdale; Patch-Link Corp. of Scottsdale; Preferred Medical Claim Solutions of Scottsdale; Shea Commercial of Scottsdale; and Universal Technical Institute of Phoenix. The Phoenix Metropolitan Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners announced five new local firms that have been added to its list of corporate sponsors. The new sponsors are JL Holston Consulting Inc., Ticken/Moret Design and Marketing, Media 88, The WriteAdvantage, and Arnold and Associates. |
