Jasmine Angelique Olson, daughter of Beth and Timothy Olson of Chandler, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 27, 2004, at Temple Beth Sholom.

Grandparents are Kathryn Coven of Chandler; Richard Coven of Chandler; Donna Olson of Mesa; and Brad Olson of Seattle.

Great-grandparent is Virginia Barber of Phoenix.

Jasmine attends Rhodes Junior High School. Her hobbies include dance, backpacking and guitar.

For her mitzvah project, Jasmine worked with developmentally disabled adults, playing games, doing crafts and assisting with household chores.



Sarah Elizabeth Smith, daughter of Loraine and David Smith of Scottsdale, became a bat mitzvah Nov. 20, 2004, at Congregation Beth Hagivot.

Grandparents are Leon Smith of Phoenix; Rosalie and Jordan Eisgrou of Phoenix; and the late Belle Smith.

Great-grandparent is Charlotte Eisgrou of Daytona Beach, Fla.

Sarah attends Milestones Charter School. Her hobbies include swimming, cheerleading and welding.

For her mitzvah project, Sarah collected and donated several hundred pounds of food, toys and supplies for the Arizona Humane Society. She also designed and welded a new eternal lamp for Congregation Beth Hagivot.



Adam Galen, son of Barbara and Neal Galen of Scottsdale, will become a bar mitzvah Nov. 27, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Bernice Golenberg of Scottsdale; Bette Jaffe of New York; Arthur Mishkin of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and the late Sam Golenberg.

Adam attends Desert Shadows Middle School. His hobbies include theater, skiing and sports.



Adam Sebastian Braslawsce, son of Annie Braslawsce of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Nov. 27, 2004, at Temple Kol Ami.

Grandparents are Ellen and Joe Braslawsce of Phoenix and the late Bobbie Braslawsce.

Adam attends Deer Valley Middle School. His hobbies include yo-yo competitions, piano and skateboarding.

For his mitzvah project, Adam tutors children at his school. He will also be performing his yo-yo skills at a children's hospital.



Tal Eliyahoo Avrhami, son of Dalia Yenon of Phoenix and Moshe Avrhami of Phoenix, became a bar mitzvah Nov. 25, 2004, at Shirat-David.

Grandparents are Edna Avrhami of Tel Aviv, Israel; Rachamin Ezra of Israel; the late Eliyahoo Avrhami; and the late Shula Ezra.

Great-grandparents are the late Zilpha and Mordechi Avrhami; and the late Esther and Samuel Soloki.

Tal attends Phoenix Hebrew Academy. His hobbies include playing piano, reading and playing video games.

For his mitzvah project, Tal made donations to the needy.



Louis Coppersmith, son of Beth Schermer and Sam Coppersmith of Phoenix, will become a bar mitzvah Nov. 27, 2004, at Temple Solel.

Grandparents are Thelma and Leonard Schermer of St. Louis; Mimi and Sam Fredman of Rye Brook, N.Y.; and the late Bernice and Louis Coppersmith.

Louis attends Ingleside Middle School. His hobbies include board and computer games, and playing the trumpet.

For his mitzvah project, Louis collected books and performed various mitzvot for the Family School.



Lauren Riesel, daughter of Candice and John Riesel of Scottsdale, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 27, 2004, at Temple Beth Israel.

Grandparents are Julie and Howard Erlick of Phoenix; and the late Jane and Anton Castle.

Lauren attends Mountainside Middle School. Her hobbies include painting and running.
