Obituaries

Henry Maiuri

Henry Maiuri of Maricopa died Nov. 4, 2004. He was 68. He was born in Malden, Mass., and moved to Arizona in 1989. He was a retired contractor.

Survivors include his daughters, Miri Schneider of Israel, Jennifer Maseloff of Scottsdale and Rebecca of Phoenix; sister, Barbara Cottam of Stoughton, Mass.; and two grandchildren.

Services were held at Phoenix Memorial Park, with Rabbi Mark J. Bisman officiating. Arrangements were made by Sinai Mortuary.

Gertrude Silver

Gertrude Silver, age 82, passed away November 6, 2004 at home in Phoenix. She was born in Savannah, Ga. and has been a resident of the Valley for 32 years. She was a member of Beth Joseph Congregation, Phoenix Hebrew Academy, Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix, Kivel Care Center Auxiliary, life member of Hadassah, a past president of Amit Women and past president of Daughters of Israel of Augusta, Ga.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years David Silver; son Samuel (Barbara Coveny) Silver; daughters Elaine (Saul) Schreiber and Sharon (Charles) Trauring; brother Albert (Fay) Greenberg; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 8 in Sinai Mortuary Chapel in Phoenix. Contributions in her memory are suggested to Beth Joseph Congregation, 515 E. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012 or Amit Women, 817 Broadway, New York City, NY 10003.
