People on the move

Marilyn and David Frazer have been named as co-chairpersons for the Jewish Community Foundation's 2005 Endowment Book of Life Signing ceremony, scheduled for March 6, 2005.

The Book of Life program honors individuals who promise to make permanent gifts through the JCF for the benefit of synagogues, organizations or programs that have been important to them during their lives; for the Fund for Jewish Philanthropy to meet the future needs of the community; or to support programs and services in Israel.

The Jewish National Fund has elected its officers for the 2005 year. New officers are: Marc Kelman, president; Dan Abrams, vice president-fund-raising; Leatrice Nach, vice president-events; Steve Friedkin, vice president-board development; Si Eisenberg, treasurer; Sue Karatz, secretary; and Burt Kruglick, past president.

Members of the board of directors have also been elected. New board members are: Barbara Allyn; Bruce Goldberg; Neil Hiller; Nelson Learner; and Jeff Wolf.

Nancy Stein will complete her term on the Maricopa Community Colleges Governing Board, after 12 years serving District 2. Voters endorsed Jerry Walker to take the spot vacated by Stein on Nov. 2. In District 4, voters chose Scott Crowley to represent them on the board.
