B'nai Mitzvah
Alyssa Sara Rubenstein, daughter of Julie and Marc Rubenstein of Tempe, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 13, 2004, at Temple Emanuel of Tempe.
Grandparents are Sheila and Seymour Rubenstein of Sun Lakes; and Susu and Lyle Bolton of Laguna Woods, Calif.
Alyssa attends Kyrene Middle School. Her hobbies include gymnastics and the temple's youth group.
For her mitzvah project, Alyssa collected discarded cell phones to help victims of domestic violence.
Abbey Leah Sloman, daughter of Geralyn and Cory Sloman of Phoenix, will become a bat mitzvah Nov. 13, 2004, at Temple Chai.
Grandparents are Shelly Roth of Phoenix; Paul Sloman of Malibu, Calif.; and Leta and Tony Pascarella of Scottsdale.
Abbey attends Shea Middle School. Her hobbies include dance, soccer and swimming.
For her mitzvah project, Abbey collected and sorted books at Sunnyslope Elementary School. She also collected and delivered clothes and stuffed animals to Central Arizona Shelter Services.

Mark attends Ingleside Middle School. His hobbies include baseball, soccer, playing chess and guitar.
For his mitzvah project, Mark completed 13 mitzvot, including preparing lunches for workers at Habitat for Humanity.
