Valley couples recognized by JNFJewish National Fund will honor two Valley couples for their contributions to the Jewish community and to Israel at its Tree of Life Award Dinner 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort and Villas, 6333 N. Scottsdale Road.Bob and Sue Karatz have been longtime leaders for the Israel Children's Center USA and Israel Tennis Centers. They have served on a number of boards for various Valley organizations, such as Jewish National Fund and Kivel Campus of Care. Sherman and Andi Minkoff have been strong supporters of the community and Israel over the last 25 years, and have received such honors as the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix's Medal of Honor, Golda Meir Award and Young Leadership Award. Help care for Kivel Kivel Campus of Care will hold its annual fund-raiser "The Art of Life Ball" 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Arizona Biltmore. The event will honor Phoenix mayor Phil Gordon and all proceeds will benefit Kivel. The event will feature a cocktail hour and dinner dance with live entertainment. Tour gives a 'dam' about MS The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Arizona Chapter, is hosting the Discount Tire "MS 150 best Dam Bike Tour" to raise money for the fight against multiple sclerosis.
