The National Association of State Purchasing Officials awarded the Arizona State Procurement Office the NAPSO Cronin Information Technology Gold Award, considered the "Academy Award" for state procurement organizations, at the organizations NASPO Annual Conference, held Aug. 31 in Santa Fe, N.M. The procurement office received the award for SPIRIT, Arizona's online eProcurement System.

Stephen Grossman, a sports and entertainment industry veteran, will develop a new sports, entertainment and event marketing division of Key-Comm Public Relations Inc. His wife Marci is the founder of KeyComm. Stephen previously held a position as director of booking, marketing and event development for the Glendale Arena at Westgate City Center in Phoenix, home of the Phoenix Coyotes hockey team.

Architectural Resource Team, a Phoenix-based company also known as ART Architects, has merged with the Flagstaff-based Rhodes & Associates. The 37-person firm will provide architectural services in 17 states, specializing in educational facilities, community and recreation centers, public safety, religious and retail facilities. ART recently celebrated 16 years in business.

Lenard R. Rubin was recently named director of food and beverage for the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort and the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. He previously held a position as executive chef for the two Pointe Hilton resorts and has worked for various other hotels, including Wright's restaurant at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa; and Marquesa restaurant at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort.
